Where To Plant Wiretaps In Key Locations

Another Wednesday, another batch of Legendary Challenges in Fortnite. It’s the 8th week of these, and I have to say I really do enjoy how Epic is handling challenges this season. I’m still not a huge fan of the menus, but at least we get some interesting themed challenges that help drive the game’s opaque narrative.

This week’s theme is all about the shadowy IO organization which has apparently planted a mole amongst Fortnite’s NPCs. Gaining access to the IO network to help uncover said mole is this week’s “story.” Remember, Legendary Challenges are worth more XP than weekly Epic Challenges, but time out after one week, so don’t snooze on finishing them.

For the purposes of this guide, we’ll be looking at where to plant wiretaps at different key locations. These locations include Named Locations as well as satellite installations and the mysterious mountainside base. Here’s every location you can plant a wiretap—you’ll need to plant three total. Each location has three spots to plant a wiretap.

The Secret Base East Of Catty Corner

Lazy Lake

The Satellite Installation East Of Weeping Woods

The Satellite Installation East Of Craggy Cliffs

The Satellite Installation West Of Dirty Docks

Simply plant three wiretaps, nab your 30,000 XP and you’re off to the next challenge, easy as can be. Since there are so many different locations you shouldn’t have to worry too much about other players, though any location with IO Guards will be a little extra perilous this week.

The next Week 8 Legendary Challenge tasks players with mindwiping Bunker Jonesy, Swamp Stalker or Human Bill. Here’s where to find each of those NPCs.
