Whenever we think about the most premium sports car in the market, a bunch of names come to our mind — Ferraris, Lamborghinis and others.
However, in the arena of the fastest sports car on the planet, the first name that pops in the mind of a car enthusiast is Bugatti.
Buggati claimed the top spot for a while first with its Veyron Super Sport and most recently with its Chiron line of cars that offer not just extreme performance with its iconic 16-cylinder engine, but also premium luxury at its finest.
And now, the carmaker has collaborated with premium watchmaker Jacob & Co, to create a limited-edition Bugatti Chiron themed watch dubbed Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon. And if you’re someone who takes their watches seriously, you’re going to be truly amazed.
The design for the watch is inspired by the fast sports car, with subtle curvy yet chunky body and the black and blue colour trim. At the front is a see-through cutout similar to the iconic horseshoe grille seen on Bugatti cars.
However, the best thing about this watch is that it has a working replica of the W16 engine that gives the Bugatti its raw power. The engine mechanism is enclosed in a see-through crystal contraption that shows the engine moving along with the clock.
The clock has three crowns at the bottom — the extreme left one is for adjusting time. The one at the centre is to wind the movement as well as the engine, whereas the extreme right one is a button to activate the engine.
Moreover, keeping the automobile theme, the watchmakers have also included a tiny fuel gauge that would inform its wearer if the watch is running out of juice and needs to be wound.
The entire watch has a total of 578 moving components and it took around a year to design. It is held together with a premium rubber strap and a classic black DLC titanium buckle.
They haven’t really revealed what the watch will be priced at, but they’ve revealed that they’ll only be making 126 of these bad boys, so better count on it to be extremely expensive and exclusive.
