Krafton, owner of PUBG Corp., Bluehole, and Striking Distance, is apparently working on multiple PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds projects. In Bloomberg’s profile of CEO Kim Chang-han (via VG247), the long-time programmer and executive producer of PUBG has revealed some details about these projects.
Chang-han shared that Krafton has two PUBG projects in the works. One of these will be designed for PC and consoles and the other one is a new PUBG-based battle royale game for mobile. There have been some recent rumours about PUBG 2.0 and PUBG Mobile 2.0 after a leaker uncovered that PUBG Corp.’s secret Project XTRM could be related to a PUBG sequel.
Striking Distance has already revealed a new horror game that takes place in the PUBG universe. Dead Space creator Glen Schofield’s The Callisto Protocol aims to deliver a sci-fi horror narrative experience in the world of PUBG.
